What gutter cleaning involves
Over a season your gutters fill with leaves, pine needles, roof grit, and the sludge they turn into. Once a gutter clogs, water backs up and spills over the edge instead of running to the downspout — landing right against your siding and foundation.
Cleaning is straightforward but it has to be done by hand and done fully. We pull the debris out of the gutters, flush the downspouts to make sure they run clear, bag everything up, and confirm the whole system drains the way it should before we pack up.

All the muck gets bagged and hauled away. Nothing is left behind on the roof, in the beds, or on the lawn.

We run water through the system to verify flow and make minor hanger or pitch adjustments so the gutters drain toward the downspouts.
Roofline and fascia spot-check
While we are up there, we give the roofline and fascia a quick look and flag any loose hangers, rot, or problems worth watching.
How often to clean your gutters
For most homes, once or twice a year keeps gutters flowing. If your property has heavy tree cover, plan on twice a year: once in late fall after the leaves have dropped, and again in spring after seeds, buds, and blossoms come down. Homes ringed by pines or oaks tend to need it more often, since needles and catkins clog gutters faster than broad leaves.

Signs your gutters need cleaning
Water over the edge
Water sheeting or spilling over the front lip of the gutter during rain is the clearest sign the run is clogged.
Plants in the gutter
Seedlings, weeds, or little maple sprouts growing out of the gutter mean there is enough packed debris and soil to grow in.
Sagging or pulling away
Gutters sagging in the middle or pulling away from the fascia are weighed down with wet debris and need clearing before they fail.
Staining on the siding
Dark streaks or staining on the siding below the gutter show water has been overflowing and running down the wall.
Pests nesting
Standing water and packed debris make a home for mosquitoes, birds, and other pests looking to nest in the gutter.

Yes. We are set up for two-story homes and awkward, hard-to-reach runs with the right ladders and safety gear. Very large or steep roofs take longer, so they fall at the higher end of the price range, but they are routine work for us.
